Why does my Android device gives me a security warning?
When connecting an Android device to an Austin College email account, the device may display a warning about allowing the server to remotely control the device, remotely wipe the device, or other items. This warning will vary based on the version of Android and the manufacturer of the device.
This warning is an integral part of our Exchange email environment. This functionality cannot be disabled and must be accepted to connect to an email account. However, the IT department will not remotely control any non-College owned device in any way, shape, or form. You can safely accept this notification.
