VPN stands for Virtual Private Network – it allows you to securely connect to the AC network with your AC laptop from home or abroad, anywhere you have an Internet connection. When you connect via VPN, the computer has the same access to all the devices and information that it would have if it were on campus.
VPN is only supported on College owned and managed devices. If you need help installing the VPN client software, please contact the IT Help Desk.
To use the VPN – click on the FortiClient icon on your computer, then enter the same User ID and password that you use for network access. The software may take up to a minute to fully load, then it will automatically minimize. At that point, you can open your email or any other resource that you normally access when connected to the campus network.
