The Web Services office manages the Austin College website, and websites on the network. This office also provides support and instruction for website editors on campus. The Web Services Coordinator is supported by a Student Web Intern during the Fall and Spring semesters.
Other functions provided by the web services office include:
A poster printer, located in the Jackson Technology Center, is available for use by the Austin College Community. The primary purpose of this printer is to aid staff, faculty, and students in their academic pursuits.
Campus digital sign updates
Campus digital signs are located in the Wright Campus Center, IDEA Center, and Abell Library. Messages are best designed in powerpoint on a STANDARD LETTER SIZE slide (not widescreen). Files can be emailed to the webmaster email account.
A disc duplicator is available to make multiple copies of CD’s or DVD’s for academic use. An inkjet CD printer is also available to print labels directly on the surface of the media. All files should be brought to the Web Services office, along with blank discs for duplication. If the label is to be printed, an image and text information will also need to be provided. Printable CD’s or DVD’s need to be provided for jobs that require printing a label. NO COPYRIGHTED MEDIA MAY BE DUPLICATED. Contact the webmaster for more information.
