The Infrastructure group has four primary areas of focus:
We manage all aspects of network connectivity, which includes the wired and wireless networks, internet connectivity, remote access (VPN), and the campus firewall.
We are responsible for servers on campus. This involves managing the hardware and operating systems for the servers, as well as a number of key applications such as email, print, and web servers. Also included is the underlying virtualization environment and storage environments that the servers rely on, and the backup and recovery of those servers.
We lead overall IT security measures with the goal of keeping all systems and electronic data safe. This involves security policies and procedures, password requirements, and reviewing systems for security issues.
We support all phones, including emergency and courtesy phones, located across campus. This also includes voicemail and long distance services for office phones. In addition, we support mobile phones supplied by the college.
